TWC celebrated Employee Appreciation Week from April 17th through the 21st. The week included great food, prizes, and recognition for all of our employees' hard work.
TWC attended The University of Houston's Spring Career and Internship Fair. Promotional items and information about TWC were handed out and we enjoyed meeting with so many great students looking to grow in their careers!
TWC would like to say thank you to all of the volunteers who participated in the “point-in-time” count for our homeless community. TWC was humbled to be able to provide gift bags for the volunteers in Fort Bend to show our appreciation. Thank you to the team at Houston Coalition for the Homeless for leading this project!
During the Christmas season, TWC donated toys to a Client Toy Drive. We love giving back to our community, especially throughout the holidays!
During the month of December, TWC employees held a holiday food drive and volunteered for both the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry and Second Mile Ministry.
TWC is excited to be at the POWER GEN - International Conference & Expo this week in Orlando, Florida. POWER-GEN International is the industry leader in providing comprehensive coverage of the trends, technologies and issues facing the generation sector. The conference and expo are being held at the Orange County Convention Center. If you are also attending this event, please make sure to stop by the Walworth booth!
In 2015, TWC The Valve Company formed a culture committee with employees representing all departments. They chose the name Together We Can. The purpose of this committee is to create unity within TWC and the community. Together We Can’s mission statement is “Building great relationships, one caring act at a time.”Over the last two years, Together We Can has provided many opportunities for TWC employees to donate and volunteer in their community.
In October, TWC sponsored the 2016 World Homeless Day Luncheon put on by the Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County. We had a great turnout and it was an honor to watch Achievers of the Year, Loretta and Jay, be recognized after having overcome so much adversity in their lives.
